Craven Pottery

Several generations of Cravens have made their mark in Seagrove and North Carolina pottery history, beginning with J. Doris Craven in the 1800s. Craven ran a production operation and trained numerous young potters, including W. H. Chriscoe, whose log pottery shop was donated to the Smithsonian Institution in the 1980s.

Video of the Day

The Cravens featured in the video turned in Georgia. However, they migrated mostly from North Carolina so we cannot overlook this wonderfully informative video :-)
